This is exciting stuff. The biggest since vaccines. Since the discovery that some of our "junk" DNA contains defenses against some whopping killer pathogen pandemics our ancestors survived, there's new research to use this in order to spread the inherited resistance to those without it. And you thought you didn't inherit anything from your grandparents in their wills. They may have given you something after all.
